In this week’s episode, we are in Formentera and dealing with the shifty winds and Posidonia regulations.
We arrived in Espalmador, a popular anchorage in Formentera early May. We were surprised to not find the mooring buoys that are supposed to be used by sailors to protect the Posidonia, and had a few head scratching moments before deciding to drop our anchor in the sand.
We get invited over for lunch on our friends’ catamaran, Meho, for another gourmet lunch prepared by chef Patrice, before heading to the beach for some exploration of Espalmador.
The next day, we get inspected by the Posidonia ranger patrol who come to check our anchor. We take the opportunity to ask a few questions and get some clarity on the matter, but we aren’t wiser than yesterday!
