Almerimar, winter paradise of the Mediterranean sailor
This week’s episode is brought to you by a little bit of boredom. Ryan being gone, I find myself alone in Almerimar again, where Polar has been docked since November.
In this video, you follow me on a day in Almerimar, the winter paradise of the Mediterranean sailor.
We take a tour of Almerimar marina, visit the surrounding area on a run, go to the marina office to pick some mail and a very heavy package, then run to some of the people doing some work for us here, and finally take a car trip up the cliff to check out the greenhouses of Almeria, where over 50% of the European demand in fruits and vegetables is produced.
