Cefalú & Northern Sicily

Aaaaah, Sicily... Ask me where in the Med I would definitely go back, and my mind is already back in this Italian gem.

We reached Sicily from Cala Gonone in Sardinia after 36 hours of -ahem (surprise!!!)... motoring.

But making landfall in San Vito Lo Capo right before sunset was well worth the effort, and what came after exceeded all our expectations!

This... isn't sunset anymore!
We woke up the next day at 5 AM to set sails towards Cefalú and were rewarded by this incredible sunrise over Sicily...

After another 12 hours of (guess...) motoring, Cefalú started to appear on the horizon.

Admiring Cefalú from the sea at the peak of golden hour was some of the most beautiful spectacles we've witnessed on our Mediterranean tour...

...and visiting the city wasn't short of

Tourists, javisst!

Almost all windows and balconies in the city are equipped with striped curtains of various shades, in an effort to keep the apartments cool.

Eye candies at every corner!

We left Cefalú after a few days at anchorage, as we were going to pick friends in Milazzo, a town on the North East coast of Sicily.

And that's when we caught our very first fish!
