Episode #54: Crossing the Mediterranean!

https://youtu.be/zrvssoZwcK4

Crossing the Mediterranean on a sailboat from Malta to Spain: 900 nautical miles in 6 days!

Video of how we dealt with my burn at sea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuxtQO6pqqo&t=168s

We started our crossing from Malta, where we had been spending a couple of weeks prior to departure. The weather conditions were absolutely perfect for an East to West sailing passage at sea, with downwind all the way.

Although we had to motor the first day, the rest of the passage was for the most part as glorious as it was uneventful. On the 5th day, I burned my leg while making coffee, and we considered re-routing the boat to get me to a hospital. But all things considered, we were fairly well equipped to deal with the injury until we’d arrived at destination, and we continued to Almerimar.

This is our absolute longest video to date, and we hope you’ll enjoy it!
