Getting started.
Late June 2015, Ryan came up with the idea that we should buy a boat and sail the world.I spent the last month listening to him talking about sailboats. Sailboat alternatives, sail options, ways to learn how to sail, budget, ect... I can't really estimate how much time Ryan spent looking at sailing resources on Internet, but he would mention his latest findings on the subject literally each time we met.Now let's be honest here. Having grown up on the West coast of France among boats and sailors, I encouraged this idea a 100%.While on holidays in La Flotte, and Quimper, my hometown, Ryan and I would spend quite a fair amount of our time looking at the sailboats docked in the harbors we passed, and dreaming ourselves aboard a 33-35 footer, crossing the Atlantic or sailing the Caribbean. As Ryan started to get quite serious about doing it, and our conversations took a more pragmatic tone, I figured I'd put together a website where he would share his newfound passion with the World.Cause as he told me yesterday "There is a point you just have to go", here we are: getting started, creating a cheesy logo and writing a first post. (Now, if we're being honest here too though, the coming months of blogging might most likely consist in me documenting Ryan's peregrinations, before we see him using his Wordpress account and show up here ;))
