Thank you, everyone, for your fantastic support! We are amazed every day at how awesome the community forming around this channel is :)

If you want our old AIS250 receiver, send us an e-mail at ryanandsophieonaboat@gmail.com and tell us about yourself and your boat! We are super looking forward to hear from you :)

This week, our friends at Sopromar, the boatyard that helped us with all our issues and upgrades, gives us a tour of their massive operation. On our way from Stockholm, we’d been struggling to find good and well-assorted boat stores. Arriving in Lagos, it felt good to finally arrive in a place where we could buy the parts that we needed, and competent boat mechanics and electricians!

We picked our new AIS transponder, a Raymarine AIS700  and went back to the boat to install it. During the installation, Ryan realizes that 2 years ago went our mast came down, our VHF cable and TV cables had been accidentally swapped, causing both our VHF and AIS to not function properly.

Installing the new AIS helped us figure it out, and we now have a AIS transponder and a VHF radio that works great!

Again, a big thank you to all of you following this channel, you are the best :)
