Arriving in Kiel: a photo-roman

Sophie: "Hallo guten Morgen Deutschland! Quite pretty around here..." (Nordufer Wittow und Hohe Dielen)Ryan: "Time for a courtesy flag switch! Hellooooo Germany!"Sophie: "Those views are making me regret us not staying here for a while..."Ryan: "Ok, it's 8AM and I've been on watch since 4AM, can I go to bed now? I'm loosing it..."Sophie: "Gosh, there are A LOT of sailboats outside this morning...."  Ryan: "These guys are going FAST."Ryan: "It looks like they are racing...."Ryan: "Oh yeah, they totally ARE racing! Great, now we are motoring through tons of sailboats that are tacking in front of us"Sophie: "Oh, look at that awesome tall ship!" Ryan: "Soph, didn't someone on Instagram commented on how we were going to arrive in Kiel right in time for the "Kieler week?" Ryan: "What is that "Kieler week"?"Ryan: "Aaaand there we go. First rain of this trip."Ryan: "Aaaaand welcome to Kiel. Awesome."Sophie: "Our Swedish flag is getting a wash."Ryan: "I am so tired of sailing in cold weather."Sophie: "This is not what I got into sailing for."Sophie: "At least, Polar Seal won't need a deck scrub after that... "Sophie "Hey Ryan.... I just checked out the "Kieler week" on Google. It says that it is "the largest summer festival in Northern Europe, with 2000 events in the area of culture and sailing, and that 3 MILLION people from all over the world will attend."Ryan: "Okaaaaaaaaay. That... is.... awesome... now, how are we going to find a marina spot in all of that?"Ryan: "Yo Soph, you see what I see?"'Ryan: "Something looks strange here.   I think we are sailing through the start of a regatta"Sophie "Oh yeah. We are totally motoring through the start of a regatta."Sophie: "And they are going to get pounded too."Sophie: "Gosh, look at all those tall ships on the horizon.... this is going to get wild!!!"Sophie: "Well, hello, Laboe" (pronounce "Labööööö") Ryan: "Those beach seats.  Too cold to enjoy."Ryan: "How about we take 29?  It's different."'Ryan: "I just wanted to get diner"Side note:  Part of the sailing experience is understanding new cultures.  Germany, unlike Sweden, does not take card everywhere.  After ordering and realizing the restaurant does not take card, Ryan had to run in the pouring rain to find an ATM and ensure we did not have to wash dishes... Ryan: "though after the run through the cold rain, I would rather have done the dishes."Sophie: "I think we hit the Marina jackpot" Sophie: "All cruising ships for one, one cruising ship for all!!!" Ryan: "Okay Soph, where did we park our own Cruise Ship?"Ryan: "Like sand in the hour glass... these are the days of our lives"Ryan: "I want our boat to be that cool Moody docked at the entrance..." Ryan: "Sophie!!! come outside, there is a super pretty sunset going on!"Sophie: [runs down to the cabin to fetch camera....]Ryan: "Pink Sky at night, sailors delight!"Sophie: "We're not sailing tomorrow... we are going to the Kieler week"

Bam. Good night Labööööö.
